Medical Device Sales is known for being very competitive and having a very tough interview process. Today’s guest is still in college and was able to land a position with one of the top medical device companies in the world! She not only landed the job, but did it before she graduated college!

In this episode you will see how Sophia’s preparation and drive led her to landing her dream job.

Sophia’s Tips

Networking - It’s who you know that will help you get you foot in the door. Look at LinkedIn and your personal network already (friend’s mom works at company).
Ask for References - When you talk with a connection ask if they have anyone else they would refer to talk to (makes a cold call into a warm call).
Be Comfortable being Uncomfortable - Every interview and day is different. You need to be okay with overcoming obstacles daily.
Work Hard - A lot of people say they will work hard, but very few actually do.
Follow Up - Always follow up with connections, because you never know who they might know looking for someone to hire.

Sophia is the perfect example of breaking through barriers to land her dream job. She didn’t care that she didn’t have a degree yet. She didn’t care that some people thought she was too young or not enough sales experience.

She put her head down and went to work showing that she is going to make an impact on the territory that hires her. So happy for you Sophia!
