Having trouble land an interview? Not getting that offer once you have landed the interview?
Today I dive deeper into the top reasons why candidates are getting the results they want! These are the top things I see where candidates could make changes in their process and it would change their outcomes.
Looking in the Wrong Place
Make sure you’re networking, finding the right people. Spend less time on job boards and spend more time networking.
Not Committed
You like the idea of $100k+ per year and working in surgeries, but you’re not fully committed to everything it entails.
Not Prepared
You don’t come prepared with questions when networking. In the interview you didn’t prepare enough. Did you find the company mission statement, product you’re selling, competitor, what the market share is, why you’re the right fit for this role, etc.
Not Telling Your Story
Everyone has a different background, experience, and strength. Know yours and how to tell your story. Show why you would be the right candidate for the position you’re applying for.
Not Closing/Following Up
You’re not asking the hard question and doing the little things. You need to close every interview and know the next steps. You need to have the next interview on the books. You need to know who to reach out to if you don’t hear back in a couple days. Every time after talking to a rep or an interview you need to be sending a follow up message thanking someone for their time.
These are the top reasons I see why candidates aren’t getting the results they want. Make sure to do all of these things and I’m confident you will like the results you get.
